Hamid Barole Abdu is an Eritrean author, storyteller, and poet who is deeply committed to human and civil rights.
According to his Wikipedia page, after studying literature in Eritrea, he moved to Modena, Italy, in 1974, where he has worked as an intercultural expert and published several articles on migration.
Hamid has written numerous books and poetry anthologies that reflect his deep sensitivity to the struggles of the world’s most vulnerable people. Many of his works have been adapted for the stage, and he frequently performs his poems at festivals and public events.
