World Water Day 2021 with Storytellers for Peace

World Water Day is a yearly observance created by the United Nations. It is held on 22 March to highlight the importance of fresh water. This year’s theme is Valuing Water . We want to support this fundamental message with our voice. Water is life, water is all of us, water is everything. The storytellers from all over the world in order of appearance : Barry Stewart Mann (USA) Beatriz Montero (Spain) Joerg Baesecke (Germany) Jozé Sabugo (Portugal) Lisi Amondarain (Argentine) Hamid Barole Abdu (Eritrea) Cecilia Moreschi (Italy) Katharina Ritter (Germany) D.M.S. Ariyrathne (Sri Lanka) Alessandro Ghebreigziabiher (Italy) Suzanne Sandow (Australia)   Storytellers for Peace was born in June 2016. It is an international network of artists, storytellers, authors, actors and musicians who create collective stories through videos. Artists come from all over the world and tell stories about peace, justice, equality and human rights. All participants tell their stories in their first language.

Storyteller Pet

Janine Cariño, aka Storyteller Pet, from Philippines, is a storyteller, a teacher and also an artist.
In the past she was a member of Ambahanon Philippines theatre, the official performing arts group of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges, a team that transforms "stories" into contemporary movements.
Then she became founding member of the Storybook Project Philippines, that is a self- sustaining movement propelled by volunteerism which envisions to develop a generation of readers sharing the love for reading from early age through storytelling.
She launched another franchise, the Storybook Project Malungon in Malungon Sarangani Province, with 110 student and teacher-volunteers.
She is now working to launch a Storybook Project in Bangkok Thailand in the orphanage, government pediatric wards and open spaces.
Storyteller Pet is also member of the International Storytellers Network.
